Become a PTA trustee

We are looking for volunteers to join the Board of Trustees at St John Houghton CVA PTA, a registered charity that aims to organise social events and activities, and to raise funds to be spent on equipment and activities that benefit the children of the school.

This is an exciting time to join our PTA which is in good standing due to the hard work and dedication of the existing trustees who are stepping down from their positions.

Established in 1994, the SJH PTA has raised funds for the school with winter markets, discos, non-uniform days, and many other innovative efforts

The PTA has a small team of dedicated volunteers. Over the last few years, we have seen interest in our fundraising efforts grow. We need to continue to develop and innovate to attract funding and support to sustain our work going forward.

Chairperson

Our Chair will be standing down this year, and we are seeking a new Chair to take over. Our new chair will have a passion for the work of the PTA and the leadership skills, energy and enthusiasm to grow and recruit active membership as well as to ensure the continued good governance of the organisation. They will support us to grow the active membership and to develop our fundraising strategies to make a positive difference to the children of St John Houghton CVA.

Treasurer

Our Treasurer will be standing down at the end of this year, and we are seeking a new treasurer to take over. Our new Treasurer will be responsible for keeping accurate records of the financial transactions of the PTA, and for ensuring that all donations received are for the benefit of the children of St John Houghton CVA.
